If you're wondering whether Wealthy Affiliate is a Multi-Level Marketing or a Networking Marketing business, you gotta read this post!
My short answer to you is: Wealthy Affiliate is NOT MLM or Networking Marketing, period.
Wealthy Affiliate as its name suggests is an Affiliate Marketing business!

But that's not the same as how MLM companies "recruit" members!
MLM companies recruit members as their downlines and these downlines can help their sponsors make money by either selling the company's products or recruiting more members.
(Take note: If the only way for a MLM company to make money is by recruiting members, it is most probably an illegal Pyramid Scheme!)
Basically, MLM companies will form a triangular structure of uplines and downlines. All the sales and transactions are interconnected within the structure.

How Does Wealthy Affiliate Work?
Wealthy Affiliate is a community that teaches its members how to set up their own niche websites to promote affiliate products from platforms like Amazon and eBay.
You can literally build your own business in any market/niche of your choice, be it your favorite sports, pet or any of your hobbies.
It's not like MLM where you are restricted to sell only the company's products.
What's even better here at Wealthy Affiliate is that you don't need to recruit your friends & family members or do any face-to-face selling. I know a lot of people hate that!

I know some of you might be wondering what happened to the Wealthy Affiliate recommendation thing...
Basically, WA members don't "recruit". We "invite" people to join this wonderful community.

When somebody joins Wealthy Affiliate through your link, they will be considered as your referral. If they decide to upgrade to WA Premium Membership, you'll earn commission.
